THE PROJECT
A village school in weathered larch, built around three courtyards.
01 · THE SITE
Flat farmland near the North Sea, where the wind rarely stops and the sky is enormous.
02 · THE BRIEF
Twenty classrooms, a hall the village can use at night, and play spaces sheltered from the wind.
03 · THE RESULT
Every classroom has light from two sides, each courtyard is a wind-still room of its own, and a band of yellow glaze marks every entrance.
